We'd rather you know what you're getting into before you apply. This is what working at GeoDrill actually looks like.

Small team. Direct access.

You're not a number. The MD is on every program. Your supervisor knows your name and your history. Decisions get made by people who've drilled themselves — not by a board that's never been on a rig.

FIFO — done properly.

Structured rosters, not ad-hoc callouts. We run programs with BHP, Austral and Stanmore — Tier 1 sites with proper inductions, safety systems and accommodation. Remote work that's actually organised.

Real progression. Not promises.

DA to driller to supervisor to Superintendent. We invest in tickets and external certification — not as a recruitment pitch, but because the alternative is a crew that can't do the job. Your progression is tracked and supported.

Safety is the standard.

ISO 45001:2018 certified. Hands-free rod handling on every surface rig — not an optional upgrade. Pre-shift briefings on every shift. This isn't performance for clients. It's how we operate.

Modern gear. In-house maintained.

12 active rigs — Hydrapower HP850s, Schramm T685WS, Sandvik DE840, Boart Longyear KWL 1600H. 170+ pieces of company-owned equipment. Maintained in-house by people who take ownership of the gear they run.

Driller's Assistant Entry level

No experience needed. Full training on site alongside an experienced crew: rig safety, handling rods and core, and how a program runs. Certificate III in Drilling Operations supported by the company.

Driller's Assistant Experienced

Confident on the rig and trusted with more of the work. You know the equipment, the procedures and the pace of a program.

Senior Driller's Assistant

The driller's right hand. Running the offsider side of the rig, helping bring newer assistants up to speed, and starting to learn the controls.

Trainee Driller

On the controls under the guidance of a senior driller, building the hours and competencies to run your own rig.

Driller

Running your own rig and crew. Method-specific certifications, with mentoring from senior drillers across RC, Diamond, coal and geotech.

Senior Driller

Taking on the more complex holes, mentoring drillers and trainees, and backing up the supervisor on site.

Supervisor

Leading crews across a program: delivery, safety compliance and crew wellbeing. Advanced Diploma in Drilling Management supported.

Superintendent

Full program accountability. Multi-rig coordination and working directly with clients.

Operations
